Election post

Elected
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I am accustomed to leadership roles, and plan to provide my experiences through my undergraduate degree, as well as my prior roles as representatives, to the position of Faculty representative. I have experience as the course representative for MSc physics from last year, and as the lead representative for the department of Physics and Astronomy. I was the Vice-President of the Video Gaming Society during my undergrad at the University of Sussex, and co-founded Sussex Esports during that time as well. I will bring leadership and teamwork to the role of faculty rep, and help make UCL better.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I hope to homogenise the faculty, and connect closer the students of UCL and the lecturers. I believe the best way for students to achieve their peak performance is through a sense of purpose and familiarity with their institute of education, which ultimately comes from feeling connected to UCL itself. Moreover, I believe that a connection between UCL cohorts can ease the burdens of starting at a new university for MSc students, or losing friends due to graduation for MSci students. As faculty representative, I hope to bring people together to achieve their best in their postgraduate degree.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I have in-depth experience with leading and innovation tired formulas, and am excited to represent the cohort this year if I am selected. I have already spent a year getting use to UCL as a post-grad, so I can empathise with students who may feel lost joining UCL. I know a network of other part-time MSc students, who understand the faculty inside-and-out, and can get your voices heard to the people that matter most. I have been a course rep, a lead rep, a VP, an ambassador, and a society co-founder, and I'm eager to use what I've learnt to make the Faculty a more inclusive and better place.
