3.4.1 The events officer must, in carrying out his tasks, abide by section 7 of the Club and Society regulations.
3.4.2 The events officer’s primary role is the research and organisation of all social events. 3.4.3 It is also the remit of the events officer to coordinate external events which the society may attend and/or participate in.

As a Portuguese student here at UCL, I know how hard it can be to sometimes be far from home and not be able to speak your language and not interact with people who share your culture! Hence, as an events officer I want to build a sense of community among the Portuguese Speakers and individuals who would like to learn the language! Through organizing events from simple get togethers to incentivize members of the society to get to know each other and also have a support network to events to give us an opportunity to learn, share and celebrate the history, culture, well, everything about Portuguese Speaking countries - be it going to a café to have a pastel de nata or brigadeiro to celebrating the Portuguese language day 🙂
