The welfare officer works with the Network to help signpost students to support resources and help the LGBQ+ Officer identify areas where UCL fails to meet the needs of LGBTQ+ students. In particular, they will:
- Clearly identify where students can receive help
- Host a welfare event at least once per term.
- Receive welfare training to help them fulfil their responsibilities
