I would be honoured to serve as Treasurer of the UCL Women in STEM Society for another year. I co-founded the society with Tanishka and a group of talented STEM women who shared our ambition: we wanted to create a space where women could feel confident, supported, and safe in STEM. Seeing the society grow from that initial vision into the thriving community it is today has been incredibly rewarding.
Over the past year, I have enjoyed managing our finances and working closely with our Sponsorships Officer to give this society the best possible opportunities for next year. As it will be a time of transition, with many of this year’s committee graduating, I would love to continue supporting the society I care so much about. I look forward to working alongside the new committee members to continue the projects we have started, so the society can keep growing, and we can all make it remain a welcoming space for everyone.
As a Physics student who has also studied Law and Economics, I truly enjoy the work of Treasurer, and I am passionate about giving back to the community that means so much to me. I would be thrilled to spend my final year at UCL helping it continue to be a space where every woman in STEM feels empowered, and leaving it ready for the next generation of Women in STEM.
