In my previous role as the Volunteering Rep, I helped bridge the communication gap between students and the administration. I actively listened to students' concerns and ideas, ensuring that their voices were heard and considered in decision-making processes.
From origami for elders in care homes to creating Christmas gift bundles for orphans, I am so happy with the positive impact I've had. It would truly not have been possible without all your support, and I plan to continue this passion and drive as your next Volunteering Officer!
I aim to provide immediate, high-impact digital and project-based opportunities, such as web design for a local charity. Students with busy schedules who might not have time for long-term commitments will especially be welcomed.
I intend to create a "Community Impact Panel" that will meet termly with three to four significant charity partners and a rotating group of student volunteers to ensure our volunteer work has a real impact. I hope to clearly demonstrate the career-enhancing value of volunteering, thereby ensuring the enthusiasm for the role continues long after my term ends.
My experience as the previous Volunteering Rep has given me invaluable insights into working with UCL administration and management, equipping me to organize and conduct a variety of impactful events effectively. I am committed to utilising this knowledge to enhance social impact and civic engagement opportunities for all students, regardless of their faculty or schedules. I firmly believe that the chance to help others should be accessible to everyone, not limited by major or availability. When you vote for me, you are voting for a brighter, more inclusive future for our entire community.
I hope UCL continues its legacy of inclusivity and being at the forefront of innovation. I see UCL deepening its mark in critical research, Artificial Intelligence, sustainable education and global equality. UCL has already achieved so much in the past 200 years, and I know that it will continue to do so in the future.
