Turkish Society: Vice President

Merhaba, ben Batuhan. Makine Mühendisliği 1. sınıf öğrencisiyim ve bu sene UCL Turkish Society’de Vice President olmaya adayım.
Topluluğu daha aktif, organize ve herkesin gerçekten bir parçası hissettiği bir yer haline getirmek istiyorum. Anlamsız vaatler yerine; iyi planlanmış etkinlikler, güçlü bir network ve düzgün işleyen bir yönetim için buradayım. Amacım Turkish Society'i herkesin keyif aldığı bir topluluk haline getirmek.

Hi everyone, I’m Batuhan. I’m a first-year Mechanical Engineering student, and I’m running to be your next Vice President of the UCL Turkish Society.
My goal is to make our society more active, organized, and inclusive for everyone. Instead of empty promises, I’m focused on delivering well-planned events, building a strong professional network, and ensuring a smooth-running committee. I want to make sure Turkish Society is a community where everyone truly enjoys being a part of it.

I am standing for Vice President of the Turkish Society at University College London because I have been actively involved in our community and have worked closely with fellow committee members. As this year's Sponsor and Outreach Officer, I helped organise and promote events that strengthened engagement within the society. I delivered a speech at our 10 November Atatürk Memorial Day commemoration and organised social and sports events, such as volleyball, which brought members together in a more informal setting. These experiences helped me build strong collaboration within the committee and develop reliability and clear communication.

If elected, I want to increase consistency and engagement across our activities. I aim to organise regular cultural and social events, expand collaborations with other societies, and create a more welcoming experience for new members. As Vice President, I would actively support the President while taking initiative in planning and execution to help the society grow in both impact and organisation.
