Travel Society: Welfare Officer

Welfare and inclusion is of the utmost importance and concern when creating a society, ensuring that all who wish to join are welcome.

- As Welfare Officer, I would ensure clear welfare guidelines are in place for all trips undertaken, including risk assessments, financial transparency and accessible itineraries for all comforts levels and financial circumstances.

- I would also establish an anonymous feedback system, so that members can safely raise concerns.

- Finally, I would like to incorporate wellbeing check-ins into our planning process, ensuring cultural awareness remains prioritised when we travel.

In short, travel should feel exciting, not isolating, and if elected, I would work to make all members feel respected in every part of the world!
