Travel Society: Health and Safety Officer

I’m a huge fan of travelling and exploring new places, but I’m also very organised and love making sure things run smoothly. I’m a Type-A planner, and I genuinely enjoy the behind-the-scenes work that makes trips successful including things like risk assessments, logistics planning, and making sure everyone knows what to do in an emergency.

I would focus on:
• Clear planning and preparation – making sure trips are well organised, with risk assessments and contingency plans in place so everyone feels confident travelling.
• Safety without limiting fun – enabling adventurous activities while ensuring they are properly risk-assessed and responsibly organised.
• Practical information for travellers – providing participants with guidance on local safety, transport, emergency contacts, and cultural etiquette.
• Affordable travel – working with the committee to find budget-friendly options so more people can join trips.
• Reliable support during trips – ensuring there is always a clear plan if something goes wrong, from minor issues to emergencies.
