Hello everyone, I'm running for Treasurer of the UCL Tea Society. I am a first-year undergraduate student in Economics and Business at SSEES, and have been actively involved in Tea Society events since 2025. As an Economics student, finance is not just bookkeeping, but a form of planning and long-term responsibility. What I've learned enables me to work within limited budget, balance between quality and sustainability.

My connection with tea ceremony is not something I discovered recently, it has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a family environment where tea was a way of making friends and building trust. My elders have always enjoyed ''meeting friends through tea'', because tea creates a space where people slow down, talk sincerely and connect.

Besides tea, the traditional Chinese music has always been attracting me as well. I had been performing as the principal Sheng player in a government-recognized municipal-level student ensemble in Shanghai from 2019, and now I am in You Chun Lai Ensemble in London. During the years, I've participated in numerous Chinese New Year galas, and been awarded across continents. Last year, we received the Best Team Award at the 20th Yangtze River Delta Traditional Chinese Orchestra Exhibition and Performance.

With my own music background and the family environment, I believe that I would take up my responsibility, contribute more in spreading Tea culture and bring more connections for our society through music.
