Hey everyone!!
My name is Apiraami, 2nd year medical student, and I’m running to be your Head of Charity!!
Charity work is such an important part of what societies can do, and I’d love the opportunity to help organise events that allow us to support meaningful causes while bringing everyone in the society together.
A few things I’d aim to do in the role include:
• Organising fundraising events and activities that are both fun and impactful and work alongside other societies
• Working closely with other committee members to incorporate charity elements into society events
• Helping raise awareness about the causes we support, not just the funds we raise
• Creating opportunities for members of the society to get involved in charitable initiatives
Most importantly, I’d want to make sure our charity work feels collaborative and meaningful, so that everyone in the society can feel proud of the impact we’re making together.
I’m a friendly and enthusiastic person who enjoys bringing people together for a good cause, and I’d love the chance to help the society continue doing great things through its charity work.
If you’d like someone who’s excited to organise creative fundraisers and support great causes, I’d really appreciate your vote!
Hello I'm Kochiga and I'd like to stand for Head of Charity for UCL Tamil Society because I see charity not simply as fundraising, but as an expression of who we are and what we stand for. To me, giving is a reflection of gratitude — a recognition that our education, opportunities, and community are privileges that carry responsibility.
As Head of Charity, my vision is to shape a culture of conscious action — one that connects us to causes with intention and integrity, encouraging us to think beyond ourselves and beyond our campus. I want our efforts to feel purposeful, rooted in empathy and driven by unity. By fostering collaboration, reflection, and shared responsibility, I hope to transform charity from a single event into a defining value of our society — one that strengthens our bonds while extending our reach outward to make a meaningful difference. This means creating days that are not only successful in what they raise, but memorable in how they make people feel — days filled with energy, unity, and purpose, where everyone leaves knowing they were part of something bigger than themselves.
Heyyy, I'm Nila. I would love to run for Head of Charity because I believe our society has an amazing platform not only to celebrate Tamil culture, but also to make a real difference beyond our community.
As Head of Charity, I’d love to organise creative and engaging fundraisers that bring people together while supporting meaningful causes. Whether that’s charity socials, collaborations with other societies, or community initiatives, I want to make fundraising something that everyone in TSOC feels excited to be part of.
For me, it’s about using our collective energy to give back and show the strength of our community - making a positive impact while bringing our society even closer together.
I am standing for Head of Culture because I’m passionate about bringing people together and creating a strong sense of community. At the moment, I’m in the process of starting a TikTok initiative where I’ll be making running content to raise money for a charitable cause. While I’m still deciding exactly which cause to support, I know it will be something I feel strongly about. Being part of the community will help me build momentum with this project and inspire others to get involved in making a positive impact. I also want to give back to the community that supports and motivates me by helping organise activities, encouraging participation, and creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels connected and valued.
I would prefer the role of head of events as I would make the events live but if I don’t get that position I don’t mind being head of freshers.
