Space Society: President

Space Society is a place where I can embrace my passion for space in a diverse and welcoming community. Diverse in our studies, there is always a connection to be made with space, and those discussions - debates over the future of space policy and tourism, astrobiology's role in finding life in the cosmos - are some of the most exciting parts of this community. As a Law student I appreciated both the break from my studies and the ability to teach others about my degree's place in the cosmos. As President I would emphasize individual passions by asking members what subjects they want to engage with. However, some people simply like to look to the stars- I am no exception. Some of my favorite memories are of space films in cinema and stargazing. I will continue these events and look to planetariums and museum shows for more amazing demonstrations, such as the Moonwalkers event at the Lightroom. 

I have previous experience in both the space field and leadership roles. I am currently a member and partner with the British Interplanetary Society, working to bring awareness to the future of Law in Space with Colin Philips. I have held leadership roles in high school including a vice presidency of a Mock Trial Club. These skills are incredibly transferable, including the ability to organize events and people, communicate with sponsors, and encourage participation. 

The Space Society has been a place of passion for me and I hope to encourage this passion in others as your President!
