Let me be honest. Most students don’t ignore society posts because they don’t care.

They ignore them because nothing signals, fast enough, “this is relevant to you.”

That’s the problem I want to fix!

I’m running for Social Media Manager because SRI connects students across different programmes. But for a cross-programme society, social media has to work smarter. Clearer targeting and content that people actually pause for between lectures.

Over the past few years at UCL, I’ve worked hands-on with society content, marketing, and audience growth. I naturally pay attention to what gets saved, what drives sign-ups, and what quietly builds a sense of community, not just what looks nice on the feed.

If elected, here’s what I will focus on:

  1. Content that speaks directly to YOU: Less generic posting, more programme-relevant updates that make SRI students feel personally addressed.
  2. Consistent and recognisable presence: A steady posting rhythm and cohesive style so SRI becomes familiar in people’s feeds.
  3. Engagement that actually brings people into the society: Prioritising activity and event turnout.

Why me?

Because I understand student attention patterns. I move fast with content. And I genuinely care about making people feel included through communication.

My goal is simple: make our social media the place where that community actually comes alive.

If you want SRI content that students don’t just scroll past but recognise and engage with, I’d really value your vote!
