Social research only creates impact when people actually engage with it.
Right now, there is so much strong thinking inside this society, but the real opportunity is in how we present it, package it, and make it resonate beyond the page.
That’s exactly why I’m running for Creative Editor. I want SRI to be the society that actually connects students by the way we communicate: clear, welcoming, and genuinely useful.
Over the past years at UCL, I’ve worked closely with visual content and editorial refinement across society and academic work. I naturally notice where clarity drops and where strong thinking gets buried under avoidable friction.
If elected, here’s what I will focus on:
- Make SRI communication feel warm and high-signal;
- Turn messy information into clean, useful updates: Programme collaboration, opportunities, and events summarised in a way students actually notice;
- Create an SRI voice people trust: Consistent tone and formatting so members know: if it comes from SRI, it’s relevant and worth their attention.
Why me?
Because I care about the member experience before they even walk into a room, if our communication is unclear or bland, we lose people. If it feels sharp and welcoming, we build a community across programmes naturally.
My goal is simple: make sure our society is clear and compelling, with communication that actually connects people.
If you want a Creative Editor who strengthens the substance, not just the surface, I’d really value your vote.
