Skate Club: Marketing Officer

I'm standing for the Skate Club Marketing Officer because I really want to help this society grow. I'm not the most experienced skateboarder (yet!), but I'm keen to learn and get more involved with the community and culture of skating, and would love to get other people involved too. 

As Marketing Officer, I'd focus on promoting sessions and events, as well as showcasing the more casual and social side of Skate Club. One way in which I'd like to do this is by actively using our social media platforms. Posting engaging content including photos, posters and short form content can help to give Skate Club a more active and engaging impression. 

I'd also work on ensuring events are consistently promoted to ensure a strong turnout and members always know what's coming up. Building a strong visual identity for Skate Club would also let this society stand out at UCL, and as your potential Marketing Officer would be something I would make sure to develop. 

Finally, listening to other society members' ideas is also critical to being valuable in this role and I intend to consistently engage with everyone else to promote the club in different ways.
