Ayden Wee

As UCL Skate Club’s current Equipment Officer, my priority is simple: to ensure that no one misses our sessions because of equipment barriers.

Over the past term, I strived for consistently and reliability in discharging my duties. From facilitating loans in person to returning equipment on behalf of skaters who leave early, I did my utmost to ensure that our equipment was safe, functional, and readily available. And I can see no greater honour than to be given the chance to continue serving our skate community.

While this term has focused on ensuring consistent and reliable equipment access, there are clear opportunities to build on this foundation. Moving forward, I aim to continue streamlining our processes in support of the current committee’s efforts to hold more frequent events at a wider variety of times and locations.

If there is one principle that defined my service, it was consistency. Equipment was accounted for. Sessions were supported. Members were included.

Skating depends on balance — and I will do my utmost to ensure our equipment operations continue to be just as steady.
