I’m running for Treasurer because I care about keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. While the Treasurer might not always be the most visible position, I believe that it is the backbone of SingSoc, ensuring that all the backend processes are carried out seamlessly so that the events we love can actually happen.

Personally, I’m someone who strives to do my job well, and in the right way. As Treasurer, I will be efficient, transparent, and accountable in all of our funding and reimbursement processes. Armed with Excel spreadsheets and a strong work ethic, I will ensure that you continue to have super cheap CNY dinners and West End tickets!

Hi! I'm Rui Jun and I'm incredibly excited to run for your Treasurer!

I'm running for Treasurer simply because SingSoc has been my anchor at UCL. From the amazing food gatherings to our major events, this community makes university unforgettable. It’s where I’ve met my closest friends and found a real slice of home in London. I want to give back to this community the best way I know how: by making sure the society has the financial backbone it needs to keep putting on the amazing events that bring us all together.

I am ready to be the person behind the scenes doing the spreadsheet heavy-lifting, securing the union grants, and doing the meticulous calculations so that our committee can focus on creating unforgettable experiences for all of you. I know firsthand that the amazing food, the welfare initiatives, and the major events we all love don't just happen by magic, they require rock-solid financial planning. I want to be the person handling the budget so that our biggest ideas can actually become a reality. I want to step up and give back by ensuring our society stays financially robust and ready to host even better events next.

To do this, my main goals are simple:

• Maximise our reserves to keep your ticket prices low.
• Maintain complete transparency so we never over-promise and under-deliver.
