Sci-Fi and Fantasy Society: Events Officer

Heya, I'm Lauren and here are a few reasons I want to be your SFFS events officer.

I'm very proactive and organised when it comes to planning, especially when it relates to personal interests of mine. I want to help make events that everyone feels welcome to join. I understand how stressful it can be to try out new things and societies.

With me as your events officer, I'd love to plan big events as well as smaller, more low-pressure socials. Whether it's pub quizzes, themed socials or collaborations, I want there to be something for everyone. If you give me the opportunity to stand as your events officer, I'll make sure every SFFS event leaves you with new friends, a warm heart and core memories <3

You may have seen me at most of the Wednesday board game nights and monthly RPG days. Personally, I would go feral for this society and I low key like event planning, so I would love to be events officer.

Some scattershot event ideas I have:

• Recreate the success of the halloween party (the best holiday)
• Other seasonal events
• Film screenings
• Murder mystery themed events
• Sci-fi and fantasy themed powerpoint day
• More Intersociety or intercollegiate events
