Chaeeun Kim

Hello, my name is Chaeeun, and I am nominating myself for Media Officer. I always had a strong interest in media and creative work, particularly in designing and editing visual content like photos and videos. I had a passion for creating visually appealing and entertaining content for a long time, so I have been creating some of my own work just for myself over the past few years. However, through this opportunity, I would like to extend this by sharing my skills and experiences with more people in the society. Having been a member of the Pharmacy Society for almost two whole academic years, I have witnessed almost all events and content that were uploaded on social media. Some media posts have caught my eye a few times, thinking I would enjoy being part of it. I also understand the importance of media in motivating one's will, like myself. Thus, I am nominating myself to be part of the committee to be more involved in the society's future events. As a Media Officer, I look forward to creating content that informs and excites, while reflecting on the energy, professionalism, and identity of our society. I hope my contribution will benefit society, allowing me to be a Media Officer that the society needs.

Rutvi Bhavsar

Hi! I’m Rutvi and I'm running for media officer because I want to help ensure that our media pages truly reflect the reality of our society including the dedication, teamwork and some unavoidable chaos. Media can often be the first impression people have of our society and it can make or break whether they decide its something they want to be a part of. Due to this, my main goal is to make our platforms engaging and welcoming. I want our media to highlight not only facts and information but instead also try and build connection with current and future members so they feel this is a society they belong in. I plan on doing this through more interactive stories, behind the scenes content and overall showing the real personalities that help build this community. This year I was TikTok lead and during this time I helped the UCL Sopsoc TikTok gain hundreds of followers and the content created helped us gain over 300,000 views. This is the kind of engagement and widespread reach I want to continue building on as well as expanding it to all our other platforms. I also organised a series of videos that helped many people applying to UCL MPharm this year, which helped build skills of leadership, communication and time management. I also plan on ensuring that important information in regards to events or other opportunities is communicated promptly and clearly to everyone. I plan on using media and marketing to make this society even more inclusive and exciting.

Over the past year as Media Lead for the School of Pharmacy Society, I’ve really enjoyed managing our social media and helping grow the society’s online presence. I’ve created posts to promote events, share updates, and make sure students stay informed about what’s happening in the society.

By standing for Media Officer, I hope to build on the work I’ve already started. Having worked closely with the committee this year, I understand what works well and how we can continue improving our platforms. I’d like to keep creating clear and engaging content, highlight student achievements, and make sure events are well promoted so more members feel encouraged to get involved.

I’m also interested in introducing more interactive content to make our pages more engaging and reflective of the pharmacy community.

With the experience I’ve gained this year, I’m excited to continue supporting the society and helping keep students connected, informed, and involved.
