Lucas Bouabci

I'm Lucas Bouabci, a first-year Natural Sciences student, and attempting to join so many societies early on in my time at UCL has been a daunting experience, but it didn't take too long for me to gravitate towards RAX, where I've dedicated most of my time as a result of its incredibly welcoming committee and acceptance towards runners of all abilities, and I'd love to be a bigger part of all of it, and of all the roles available, I believe treasurer is the one that suits me the best. I already have some experience managing spending within my family, but my dedication to the society and mindset towards completing tasks as early as possible are what make me most suitable for this demanding role. I can promise to put the same level of effort into my role as treasurer as I do during training sessions. I may not be the quickest of runners, but I'll always push myself to the limit when needed to ensure others can do the same!

Nina Bentham

Hi, I'm Nina, and I am running to be your treasurer next year. Having been your Social Running Captain, I hope I am a friendly and familiar face to most of you, or at least a recognisable name from the GC. Being on the committee this last year has been one of the most valuable parts of my university experience so far, and I am incredibly grateful for the friendships and confidence I have gained. I would love to give back to the society that has meant so much to me by taking on a more behind-the-scenes and admin-focused role as Treasurer. I love RAX, and I am motivated to build on this year's committee's legacy to ensure RAX continues to thrive.

Through leading social runs and Couch to 5k, as well as pushing myself outside my comfort zone by getting involved in Tuesday Track and Thursday Distance training every week, I hope I have proven my consistency, reliability, and dedication to this club. I hope my commitment shows how willing I am to fully invest in this society and to continue doing so in my final year.

As Treasurer, I hope to continue Akira’s work in managing the club’s finances and organising activities, specifically by continuing to write the monthly newsletter and investing in every part of the club. Ultimately, I want to ensure that RAX continues to offer inclusive, fun, and well-supported activities for everyone, while building a strong financial foundation for years to come.  #votebentham!
