RUMS Society: Events VP

Hey everyone, I'm Oscar and I am excited to be running for your next Events VP!

As a member of the current RUMS Events subcommittee, I have helped promote and run events from Fresher's Fortnight to the upcoming Halfway Ball, and I hope to continue to create exciting events as Events VP. As Publicity and Social Media Officer for MedSoc and HPM, I have helped increase engagement of tutorials, talks and conferences, and as part of Pathology Society, have helped plan and run our own conference. These roles have given me valuable experience promoting events, coordinating teams and ensuring strong turnout.

If elected, I aim to:

• 🧽 bring back ReFreshers for all years: I will ensure iconic events like Scrubs Party and Survivor's can make a nostalgic return for all years
• 🥶 run winter and summer events: creating new events to bring people together throughout the year, including a festive Winter Ball and end-of-year celebrations
• 🩺 do more collabs: organising joint events with GKT and ICSM to expand the social scene and connect RUMS with the wider London medical community
