Juan Bestene

I’m a History, Politics and Economics student, and I’m standing for Treasurer because I want to help strengthen and grow the UCL Real Estate Society. I want to work to grow our membership and increase engagement across the university. I believe strong financial management is essential to delivering high-quality events and meaningful opportunities for members. I’m particularly motivated to establish new partnerships with sponsors and build lasting relationships within the industry.

Christina Liu

Hi, I’m Christina, a first-year Geography and Economics student at UCL with a strong interest in finance and financial organisation. I enjoy working with numbers, keeping records clear, and supporting teams behind the scenes. In high school, I served as President of the Economics Society, the largest academic society in my school, where I organised weekly events and helped manage budgeting and expenses. This experience strengthened my attention to detail and showed me how careful financial oversight supports sustainable and impactful activities.

I am applying for Treasurer because I admire the UCL Real Estate Society’s mission to provide practical exposure to the real estate industry through careers panels, site visits, workshops, and networking opportunities. The society connects academic knowledge with professional experience, and I want to ensure these initiatives are supported by clear and responsible financial management.

If selected, I would work closely with the committee to monitor finances, support structured budgeting for events, and maintain transparent and up-to-date expense tracking. My goal is to ensure funds are allocated efficiently while maintaining financial clarity and long-term sustainability for the society.
