I’m running for Treasurer because I want to help Punjabi Society stay organised and make sure our budget is used in a way that supports the events and ideas we care about. I studied Economics at A‑level and gained accounting experience during work experience, which gave me a solid understanding of budgeting and financial responsibility. Alongside that, my chemistry degree has strengthened my analytical skills and confidence with numbers, which I believe are essential for managing the society’s finances effectively.
I’ve also taught Punjabi for three years, which has kept me closely connected to our language and culture and shown me how important it is to create spaces where people feel included and represented. I’m organised, reliable, and committed to making sure our events and projects are well‑planned and financially secure. As Treasurer, I want to support the committee in delivering meaningful events while keeping the society’s finances clear, accountable, and used in ways that genuinely benefit our members.
