Sat Sri Akal, UCL! Raised in Punjab, I didn’t just learn about our culture — I lived it. The music, the food, the bhangra moves, and most importantly, the spirit of Chadh di Kala — the mindset of rising higher, staying positive, and finding joy in everything we do. That’s not just a phrase I throw around; it’s genuinely how I move through life, and it’s exactly how I want to lead this society. This year alone we’ve had Mixie Mondays, games nights, and pub crawls, all the way to the biggest Punjabi event of the year — the Lohri Ball. And with our boat party still to come, we’re just getting started. This is the energy I want to build on and take even further. So, what’s on the agenda? BIGGER and BOLDER collaborations with other societies, more cultural events that make you feel connected to your roots (or help you discover them for the first time), and more socials — because what’s a Punjabi gathering without good people, good energy, and good food!! If you elect me as your president, here’s my promise: I won’t just be your president — I’ll be your person. Someone you can actually talk to, bring ideas to, and trust to get things done. No corporate emails, no distant committee vibes — just someone who genuinely cares about making this society yours. Our society has so much potential to grow and I want us to unlock it together. Together, let’s make Punjabi Society at UCL the place everyone on campus wishes they were a part of. Waheguru ji da Khalsa, Waheguru ji di Fateh.
