Portuguese Speaking Society: Treasurer

I am standing for Treasurer of the UCL Portuguese Speaking Society because I would love to contribute more actively to a community that represents an important part of my identity and culture. Being part of a Portuguese-speaking community at UCL creates a sense of belonging for many students, and I would like to help support and strengthen that environment.

I am particularly interested in the Treasurer role because it involves organisation, responsibility, and careful management of resources. These are skills that I value and regularly develop through my academic work and group projects at UCL. I would enjoy ensuring that the society's finances are handled transparently and efficiently, enabling the committee to organise meaningful events and opportunities for members.

Overall, I am standing for this role because I want to support the society's activities, help create engaging events for the Portuguese-speaking community, and contribute positively to the committee by being a reliable and organised member.

I hope to help build a welcoming, lively, and dynamic Portuguese-speaking community where everyone feels connected through our shared culture and traditions. I want to encourage students to get to know one another by organising fun, interactive events that bring people together and create lasting friendships!
