Polo Club: Treasurer

Hey everyone!

I'm Struan, a first year student studying ESPS with German. I first played polo when I started uni back in September and UCL Polo has been such a positive part of my university experience. I want to be Treasurer to help continue growing what is still a relatively new but already amazing club.

Polo can be an expensive sport, which is why Treasurer is such an important role. With your vote, I will ensure your membership fees are used to provide the greatest value for money we can offer. We can achieve this by growing the club to increase revenue which can be fed back to you, the members.

The club offers a huge variety of social and playing opportunities at an already subsidised rate but I know we can do better! I will work with the Social Sec to make sure we can provide access to amazing events like the Christmas Dinner and clubbing nights to as many members as possible and with the President to ensure playing members keep enjoying discounted rates at Silver Leys, our training ground.

Investing for the future of the club is also key. I will look to make purchases that will benefit future years while still running a surplus in the coming year and making the UCL Polo experience as fun as possible for members. 

UCL Polo is run for you and making sure members can get the most out of the club is the most important factor. This is what I will work to do as your Treasurer!
