Why am I standing? Because I simply love poker. I am a seasoned regular at UCL poker soc and have been hooked since the first few sessions where I managed to win a hand off Jean (current treasurer) who was not happy about it and proceeded to educate me on how I anti-GTO. He even recommended a poker book for me. I still have much to learn, but I am reaching final tables now and I will win a tournament before I leave.

Beyond my love for poker I believe I'm qualified to do a good job as welfare officer. I hold a qualification in first aid in case poker becomes too much for one of you. I also will maintain a fun and inclusive atmosphere for seasoned pros and beginners alike and will be ready to address any concerns and provide support. What stands me apart is my ability to command the room which is much needed when dealing with 40 rowdy gamblers trying to buy-in. From what I gathered the other day I am best suited for that particular role. LISTEN UP... attention is given... proceed to give commands. I also like to think that I'm a friendly approachable person who will be reliable and fun to work with and also create a fun environment for seasoned and new poker players alike. Vote for me or I'll go all in blind on you x

I’m standing up for Poker Society Welfare Officer because I believe the society represents much more than a game. Poker is about strategy, discipline, and decision-making, skills that challenge us intellectually and build resilience. In a university environment that encourages critical thinking and personal growth, Poker Society provides a structured and transparent space to do exactly these qualities. I want to ensure the society remains inclusive, well-organised, and focused on skill development. By promoting responsible play, open learning, and healthy competition, we can create a community where members feel welcome regardless of experience level. My goal is to strengthen the society’s reputation, expand participation, and foster an environment built on respect and integrity. I am standing because I care about protecting this space and helping it grow into one that reflects the best of what our student community can offer.
