I am standing for President because I believe UCL Poker Society can be both welcoming and competitive.
I started from small buy-ins, including my first £5 UCL tournament, and through disciplined study and live experience went on to win a £140 tournament in empire casino. That win wasn’t about luck — it was about consistency, emotional control, and making strong decisions under pressure.
Poker has taught me resilience during swings, patience in tough spots, and the importance of long-term thinking. Those are the same qualities needed to lead a society successfully.
As President, I will focus on:
• Structured and transparent tournaments
• Clear improvement pathways for all skill levels
• More strategy discussions and competitive opportunities
• Building a strong, ambitious poker community at UCL
I don’t just want to play well — I want us to grow and win together.
Vote for structure. Vote for discipline. Vote for long-term success.
For the wellbeing of all poker enthusiasts in UCL.
You probably know my face from the weekly game, and if you don't, you will next week (excuse the mugshot). Fair warning though, the beard situation changes week to week so I cannot guarantee you will recognise me. 🧔♀️
I have been showing up consistently because I genuinely love this society and I think it can be a lot better. Here is what I will be bringing to the table as President:
- The tournaments need a serious revamp. We will be moving away from pure turbo structures toward formats that actually reward good poker, deeper stacks, proper blind levels, and satellites for bigger events. And yes, we will be running 72 bounty DEGENS because some of you clearly need to be punished for limping UTG. 🤑
- We will be doing actual teaching events. I know some of you are in the red week in week out and just keep showing up hoping variance saves you. It will not. 📉 We will be fixing that with structured sessions on fundamentals, hand history reviews, and proper strategy content separate from just playing.
- And most importantly, MORE CASH GAMES. The weekly tournament is great but the real conversations happen on the cash table and we will be running a lot more of them.
The goal is simple, make this society the most active, most serious, and most fun poker community at UCL. The fish are on notice 🥷
See you at the tables.
