Physics at UCL is a grind. We spend our days staring at 𝛙 and our nights questioning our sanity. You don’t need a Social Secretary who just sends emails; you need an Events Architect who knows how to build a community.

I am standing because I have the battle-tested experience.

The Track Record: Proven Logistics

I don’t just "plan" events; I execute them at scale. My experience ensures that whether it’s a pub crawl or a gala, the "entropy" stays low and the energy stays high.

  • CASF Festival Organizer: I am currently part of the team organizing a festival for 2,000 people. I understand the "heavy lifting" of massive logistics.
  • Integration Bee Founder: Back in school, I organized a multi-city Integration Bee. I know how to bridge the gap between "academic" and "social."

Advocacy: I Stand With You

A Social Secretary represents the heartbeat of the society.

  • The Sixth Form Revolution: When our mock exams were handled with total disregard for the students. I stood with my peers to demand fairness and won.

The Vision: The "Wedge" Attack

My plan for the year is simple: Calculated Expansion.

  1. Inter-Society Dominance: More collaborations with Engineering, Math, and Astro. We are expanding our network, not just staying in our bubble.
  2. Zero-Communication Barriers: A transparent social calendar. No last-minute "oh, I didn't know that was happening."

"Physics is the study of the universe. Our social life should be just as vast."

Vote for experience. Vote for the renovation.

Hi I’d love to take on the role of social sec and organise weekly events for us to look forward to!

I’d be happy to organise anything from hikes to movie/gaming nights, craft/baking related activities, karaoke, collabs with other societies— literally anything, as long as it gets people out of the science library. And obviously, guest speakers from a range of physics-related research/industry backgrounds, to help us discover potential future pathways and keep our options open.

The goal is to build a cute little physics community where everyone feels welcome to unwind and do something fun with coursemates, complain about modules, or make valuable connections for future prospects (for the linkedin warriors). As an avid planner who enjoys seeing ideas actually materialise, I’d love to help bring this goal to fruition.

I’d be super open to any event requests if you’d like anything in particular. I might sometimes have an rbf but I promise I’m approachable x

As an enthusiastic member of physics society, I have found the events to be a lovely place to socialise and unwind with other physics people. I strongly believe in a work-life balance and I want to help create that balance for the members of physics society. There is so much to do in London, and I want to utilise that to provide the members of physics society with a lot of fun and memorable experiences. I love meeting new people, but I am aware that it can be difficult sometimes, and I want to help create opportunities to bring people together.
I want to contribute to making the physics department feel more like a community and help people build networks and connections during their time at UCL.
