Netball Club (RUMS): Treasurer

I am standing for Treasurer because netball has been one of the most positive parts of my university experience, and I want to give back to a club that has given me so much. Over the past three years, I have progressed from player, 3s Co-Captain and Social Sec. Each role has strengthened my understanding of how the club operates. Being on committee has shown me how vital organisation, communication and financial planning are to keeping everything running smoothly.

Planning tour was particularly impactful. Budgeting, tracking payments, managing deposits and keeping the trip affordable while still enjoyable was a significant responsibility that I genuinely valued. It reinforced that the role of Treasurer does not just involve financial oversight, but ensuring transparent, fair systems that work for every member.

Through this experience, I developed confidence in handling money responsibly and communicating financial expectations clearly. As Treasurer, I would prioritise clarity around membership fees, kit orders and tour instalments to reduce confusion and stress. I am organised, proactive and dependable. I plan ahead and meet deadlines. I have seen how strong leadership behind the scenes supports the entire committee, and I would value the opportunity to take on that role by keeping our finances organised, transparent and secure.

I am standing because I care about this club and want to play a meaningful part in ensuring its continued stability and growth next year.
