Ellie Wu

Hey everyone, I'm Ellie and currently in symphony orchestra playing 2nd violin and would love to be the manager next year. I'm a first year maths student which can be intense so I love going to orchestra as it's a great break from studying. Everyone is super friendly, the concerts were amazing this year(despite me making many mistakes), not to mention snacks at every rehearsal. I think I'd be great at ensuring these things continue next year and I promise to organise sheet music, set up and pack up after rehearsals, organise socials if anyone wants

Connor Guildford

because I like orchestra.

Godfrey Chan

Hi everyone, I am Godfrey Chan, a first year student from Hong Kong and an oboist in the Symphony Orchestra. I am running to be Symphony Orchestra Manager because I would really like to be more involved in orchestra matters and contribute more to the ensemble that I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of this year.

I have been playing the oboe for over 13 years, and music has been a huge part of my life. Beyond performing, I have also served as a committee member in my high school orchestra and in the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra. These roles taught me responsibility and the importance of clear communication within an ensemble.

As Orchestra Manager, I would aim to support both the conductor and players by helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. I care about making rehearsals productive, communication clear, and ensuring everyone feels heard and supported. I believe I am approachable, organised, and good at communicating, which are qualities essential for the role.

I have truly loved my first year experience in the Symphony Orchestra, and I would be honoured to give back by serving as Symphony Orchestra Manager.
