Muay Thai Club: External Relations Secretary

I would really like a committee position within Muay Thai, as I only recently joined but have grown so much in confidence as a result of the club, both socially within the society and within the sport itself. It is the first society I’ve ever had such motivation and passion for, and been really integrated in, and so I would love a chance to integrate further within the society and give back to it. Practically, I am good at aspects of admin such as emailing and getting formally in touch with people due to having experience with this in school. I’d love a chance to work collaboratively with the rest of the committee, as the people in this society have always been supportive and key in making me comfortable enough to overcome my mental blocks towards joining a society I do not have previous experience in. Hopefully, as a result of my role I can help members of the society progress within the sport and meet the goals that they are working so hard towards. Muay Thai has given a lot to me in a short time, helping me to feel stronger and more motivated as I attend more and more aspects of the club such as new classes and fights, and I am keen to help as many people as possible reap as much benefit as they can from the club. I think it may be helpful to some people who are beginners within the society to have someone on the committee who started as a newcomer and a complete novice at the sport.
