MUA Society: Workshop Coordinator

Hello, my name is Alice! I have been doing makeup since the age of 12, however, the experience I always need more of is practicing on models, specialty makeup education and a nice environment to share skills with others. 

The best way to learn is practice and in my experience I have learned that taking on a range of opportunities helps everyone improve. Runway, stage and special events makeup are key skill-building opportunities. 

As workshop coordinator I would organise a wide range of events, from those more confident artists who want to share their expertise to beginners who want to learn, everyone will benefit. I also am a firm believer in collaborating with other societies as those were the experiences which helped solidify my confidence as an artist, but also to have a great time with my peers. For this reason I will encourage collaborations and all artists within the society to attend as many workshops as they can experiment with other styles and discover new opportunities. 

Workshop opportunities can benefit many different styles (to name a few: editorial, runway, bridal, drag, stage… ect) and it would highly benefit the society to be open to a broad range of events to accommodate for all artists. I will ensure to present workshop opportunities that are enriching and fun for all involved.
