Camelia Benlamlih

My name is Camelia Benlamlih, and I am proud to say that I was born and raised in Morocco. Growing up in Casablanca shaped who I am today. Morocco is more than where I come from. It is a part of my identity, my values, and my pride. Representing my country and our culture here at UCL is not only important to me, it is truly an honour 🇲🇦

This year, serving as Vice President of the Moroccan Society, I committed myself fully to our community. I organised the screenings of the CAN semi final and final, bringing students together to celebrate the passion we all share for Morocco. I also organised our Ramadan ftour, creating a moment of warmth, connection and home for Moroccan students far from home. Seeing our community come together like that reminded me why this society matters so much.

But I believe I can do even more.

I am standing for President because I want to continue building a society that is vibrant, united and proud of its heritage. I have many ideas in mind. More cultural events, more moments that bring Moroccans together, and more opportunities to share our beautiful culture with the wider UCL community.

Morocco taught me pride, resilience and generosity. As President, I want those values to guide our society.

If you believe in celebrating our culture, strengthening our community and making the Moroccan Society shine even brighter, I would be honoured to have your vote. 🇲🇦✨
