Hi! I’m Alyssa, a 3rd‑year Medical Innovation and Enterprise student with a deep passion for health and MedTech. I’m committed to supporting MedTech’s mission of showcasing and advancing innovation in healthcare.
As Vice President, I would focus on making the society as ambitious and forward‑thinking as its members, ensuring every event is impactful and engaging. This year, I served as the Technology in Healthcare Executive, where I helped organise MedTech’s flagship Tech in Healthcare Conference- a huge success. This experience has given me strong organisational and leadership skills, from coordinating conferences to managing teams, all skills that directly translate to the VP role. I’m determined to ensure every event this year meets that same standard.
I will work with the team to bring in high‑calibre speakers and panellists who can offer real insight into the MedTech landscape, while also creating events that are interactive, enjoyable, and full of networking opportunities.
Beyond the events we normally hold, I want to expand enrichment opportunities throughout the year: more speaker events, panel discussions, hands‑on workshops, and spaces for students to explore the intersection of technology and healthcare.
I’m excited to work closely with the committee and senior team to make this year bigger, better, and more impactful, and I’d love your support!
Having immersed myself in MedTech this year — from the coding workshop to the mentorship programme to conferences across all three terms — I am all the more motivated to become a changemaker within the society. I want to work at the intersection of the President, the Students' Union, and every branch, helping to ensure the society functions as one coherent whole striving toward a shared vision rather than a collection of parallel teams.
What particularly draws me to this role is the connective work it demands. I want to be the person both students and branch leads approach when they need things to move — and the person representing the society to the President, SU and to the wider MedTech industry, strengthening the gateway between our members and the professional world that lies beyond campus.
As VP, I would introduce a termly anonymous feedback form open to all members, with responses synthesised and presented to the committee. Societies can lose sight of what members want as the year moves on; a structured feedback loop would keep strategy responsive and grounded in the student experience.
I would also establish a light-touch alumni directory — a list of UCL MedTech Society alumni willing to have conversations with current members — and use the society's SU relationships to pursue at least one cross-society event annually with engineers, medics, or computer scientists. MedTech is interdisciplinary by nature; the society should reflect that. I am driven to make it happen.
Hi, I’m Naomi, a second year Biomedical Sciences student, and I’m excited to be running for the role of Vice President! As a Diversity and Inclusion Executive this year, I’ve enjoyed organizing one of MedTech’s annual conferences and getting to know everyone in the society.
Being part of MedTech’s committee this year has been a truly rewarding, and it's given me a deep understanding of how MedTech operates and a clear vision on how we can grow. I am an open minded and responsible individual, and I want to use my experience and communication skills to contribute again next year at an even greater level.
My goal is to build on our amazing community and enhance the MedTech experience for everyone. I aim to continue inter-uni collaborations like our London MedTech events, and strengthen connections with other societies within UCL. I also want to expand our calendar beyond traditional events, hosting tours at institutions including the Francis Crick Institute. Furthermore, I aim to strengthen the connections within the committee, hosting more big and mini committee socials within each sector.
Having served as a Diversity and Inclusion Executive, I know that a great society must be an inclusive and warm environment for all. I am committed to ensuring every member feels heard, welcome and represented in everything they do. I’ve loved being part of MedTech this year, and am excited at the possibility of helping it evolve! I would be honored to have your vote as Vice President.
Hey everyone, I’m Adrian - I’m from Hong Kong, and I love dogs, tennis and cooking!
Thanks to MedTech, I had the chance to help put together the Tech in Healthcare Conference last month, as Technology in Healthcare Executive. Through organising the Conference, I’ve gained valuable experience in logistics and event planning, and I’ve had the opportunity to learn from numerous industry professionals through meaningful conversations.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at MedTech this year. It’s amazing what MedTech UCL is achieving at such a large scale, and I’m excited to show all of you what we can offer. Through my outward-facing roles in MedTech as well as in other societies such as AIESEC, I have acquired a much deeper understanding into outreach and stakeholder management with external parties. Building upon this year’s foundations, my skillset enables me to effectively maintain and foster meaningful partnerships; not just with UCL societies, but also other universities, industry professionals, and sponsors. Through these partnerships, I aim to enhance and diversify the experiences that our members will enjoy next year, while ensuring that our existing events remain as engaging and enjoyable as ever, if not more so.
I’m looking forward to becoming Vice-President for 26.27, to commit myself further to serving this community that I know and love.
Warm regards,
Adrian Ho
