Hi! I’m Alyssa, a 3rd‑year Medical Innovation and Enterprise student with a deep passion for health and MedTech. I’m committed to supporting MedTech’s mission of showcasing and advancing innovation in healthcare.
This year, I served as the Technology in Healthcare Executive, where I helped organise MedTech’s flagship Tech in Healthcare Conference. It was a huge success, and that experience strengthened my ability to deliver events that are insightful and professionally run, so I’d love to run for Tech in Healthcare Chair!
As Tech in Healthcare Chair, I would focus on ensuring next year’s event meets that same standard. I will do this by working effectively with my executives to bring in high‑calibre speakers and panellists on topics you care about. I will include feedback we gathered from this year’s event such as leaving more time for networking.
I’m excited to work closely with the committee and senior team to make this year’s event bigger, better, and more impactful, and I’d love your support!
Hey everyone, I’m Adrian - I’m from Hong Kong, and I love dogs, tennis and cooking!
Thanks to MedTech, I had the chance to help put together the Tech in Healthcare Conference last month, as Technology in Healthcare Executive this year. Through organising the Conference, I’ve gained valuable experience in logistics and event planning, and I’ve had the opportunity to learn from numerous industry professionals through meaningful conversations.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at MedTech this year. It’s amazing what MedTech UCL is achieving at such a large scale, and I’m excited to show all of you what we can offer. Through my outward-facing roles in MedTech as well as in other societies such as AIESEC, I have acquired a much deeper understanding into outreach and stakeholder management with external parties. Building upon this year’s foundations, my skillset enables me to effectively maintain and foster meaningful partnerships; not just with UCL societies, but also other universities, industry professionals, and sponsors. Through partnership, I aim to deliver a Tech in Healthcare Conference next year that is more engaging and diverse, showcasing the ideas and insights of more speakers and companies, with a heavier focus on hands-on interaction.
I’m looking forward to becoming Technology in Healthcare Chair for 26.27, to commit myself further to serving this community that I know and love.
Warm regards,
Adrian Ho

Hi MedTech members!
I’m Ian, a dedicated Applied Medical Sciences student from HK with a passion for bringing healthcare and cutting-edge technological innovation together, and I’m thrilled to nominate myself for the Tech in Healthcare Chair!
A successful MedTech event, especially our flagship Technology in Healthcare Conference, requires more than just a good topic. It involves careful logistical planning, effective communication with speakers and panelists, and keeping a close eye on emerging trends to stay informed. Training in modules like Data Interpretation and Evaluation of Science has equipped me to deal with complex clinical datasets while thinking critically. I am eager to take on this greater responsibility, ensuring that our flagship Tech in Healthcare Conference continues to be an awe-inspiring, scientifically rigorous, and interactive event.
If elected, I promise to focus on:
- A conference that actually excites us: I will leverage my grounding in human physiology and medical imaging to curate a scientifically fascinating conference, with industry speakers who are revolutionising patient care, and can speak at the forefront of healthcare innovation.
- Less Lecturing, More Interaction: We sit through enough standard lectures! I want to introduce hands-on “Anatomy & Tech” demonstrations and panel discussions to make our events even more engaging and memorable.
Thank you for your time and I would be honoured to have your support and see you all in future sessions!
