Why I’m Running

  • Current Outreach Executive at UCL Markad Society, already involved in partnerships and society operations
  • I want to help the society grow into a stronger platform connecting students with real marketing opportunities
  • Passionate about building a community where students can learn practical marketing skills beyond the classroom

What I Bring

  • Experience in outreach and partnership building
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate events and collaborations
  • A clear understanding of how the society operates and where it can improve

What I Want to Improve

  • More industry exposure: guest speakers, brand partnerships, case studies, networking events
  • More practical marketing learning: workshops, campaign simulations, creative case competitions
  • Stronger community engagement: collaborations with other societies and more accessible events

My Goal

I wanted to make Marketing and Advertising Society a place where students can:

  • Gain real marketing experience
  • Build industry connections
  • Explore creative ideas and career paths
Rustam Mukhamedjanov

Most societies promise more events. I am running because I want to deliver more creative growth outcomes.

Over the past year at UCL, I’ve worked across marketing roles in a range of societies and seen one clear gap: students are bored by simple inspiration and information. Everybody wants real experience, real connections, and real momentum for their careers.

If elected, my focus is simple and practical:

  1. First - industry access that actually leads somewhere. Not just guest speakers, but people who open doors: agencies, brands, and recruiters who members can genuinely connect with.
  2. Second - a society brand that people recognise instantly. Stronger socials, cleaner visuals, and content that showcases our members: because perception drives opportunities.
  3. Third - hands-on marketing experience. Live campaign challenges, portfolio workshops, and collaborations with startups so members graduate with proof of skill, not just interest.

But beyond strategy, here is what matters most:

  • I care about building a society where committed members can grow fast, first-years feel welcome, and where being part of the Marketing & Advertising Society actually gives you an edge.
  • I’m not here to run events for the sake of activity. I’m here to make this society useful and genuinely worth your time.

If you are looking to start a career in Marketing and Advertising, and develop a useful and like-minded network, I’d be honoured to have your vote.
