What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I want to create a unique and defined brand image for the LGBTQ+ network, fostering a community through social media and advertising events where LGBTQ+ individuals can be represented and meet other like-minded students. Produce graphics and videos, editing them to meet the brand image and to increase engagement with the network.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I am currently a marketing and social media officer for two societies, creating unique graphics with consistent styling under a brand image for both. I have also previously created graphics for the network in my current role as Welfare Officer. I have generated engagement, replied consistently to messages to the social media, and coordinated with other team members on events. Highly skilled with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, and other software, I also have an eye for design and create art in my spare time.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

As an LGBTQ+ student, I love engaging with the network, and by utilising my skills as a graphic designer and marketing officer, I will be able to create consistency in the media produced by the LGBTQ+ network. Working alongside our other network officers, I will work hard to ensure that LGBTQ+ students can feel a sense of community from its media, and be able to receive information in a creative way.

If elected as Media Representative for the LGBTQ+ Network, I would work to strengthen the visibility and impact of the network within UCL student body. What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I have been an active member of the UCL LGBTQ+ Network for the past two years and regularly attend its events. This has given me insight into how the network successfully promotes its goals through media and where communication can be improved. I would bring this perspective to help strengthen engagement and visibility. I also have committee experience as Welfare Officer for both the World History Society and the SELCS Society, where I developed strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
