Grace Bristow

I am standing for Treasurer of the UCL Legal Tech Society because I recognise how important the responsible allocation of funds is for the society’s growth, for delivering high-quality events, and most importantly, for its members.

Attending the society’s events this year, including A&O Shearman’s discussion led by Ellen McArthur on the firm’s MIG team, has shown me how valuable the UCL Legal Tech Society is in developing students’ understanding of the rapidly evolving technology and artificial intelligence sector. This is particularly important for building commercial awareness and understanding the modern legal field. These talks have deepened my interest, alongside many other members, in legal tech and the impact it will continue to have across all areas of law, from legal academia to commercial practice.

As Treasurer, I will prioritise bringing in engaging speakers and events that facilitate valuable networking opportunities, while maintaining transparent budgeting so the society can grow sustainably. Through my pro bono and voluntary work, I have developed the responsibility, reliability, and proactive approach necessary to perform this role effectively. I am committed to helping  the society continue delivering opportunities that inform, inspire, and benefit all members.
