Lebanese Society: Marketing & PR Officer

Hey guys, ça va? I'm Karma, a first year student studying psychology, a fundamental aspect of marketing and PR. Growing up around graphic designers, I developed an appreciation for all things advertisement, aesthetics and communication. I am experienced in social media filming as I was once the videographer of a cooking/baking influencer. To pursue this interest even more, in grade 12, I was appointed the role of social media manager for my cohort's senior year accounts on TikTok and Instagram. I edited videos and created posters to spread information about events and updates, but more importantly, to document our final year of school.

I wish to do the same at UCL - document the presence and impact of the Lebanese community.

I aim to do this through posting about our people and our culture, alongside making videos to promote what we value. For example, easy at-home Lebanese recipes to spread our unanimous love for food! I also would like to implement weekly cultural and social updates on Lebanon to educate ourselves and those around us. Additionally, I would like to collaborate with other societies to bridge cultures and/or interests as that will help amplify Lebanese presence in both academic and extra-curricular contexts.

With this role, I will be able to positively portray and promote the UCL Lebanese community. Yalla vote for me and we can make this happen together!
