Naeun Kim

I am a first year BA Communications student looking to purse a career in law after graduating. I am standing for Marketing Officer because I genuinely value Law for All stands for accessibility and inclusivity. As someone who is not a law student but is interested in pursuing a career in law, I understand how important it is to have access to clear and approachable insight into the legal field. Being part of LfA has shown me how much of a difference accessible information and well-promoted events can make.

Over the past few months, I have worked as a blog writer, where I learned how to break down complex topics into engaging and structured content. I have also worked as a Marketing Assistant for the ArtsUCL production of ART, where I designed the full programme, created social media posts and promotional videos using Photoshop and Canva. These experiences have given me confidence in managing content, maintaining visual consistency, and promoting events effectively.

If elected, I would aim to strengthen our social media presence by creating more consistent and engaging posts, highlighting upcoming events clearly, and making our platforms feel welcoming and informative. I would also work closely with the other committee members to ensure that events are promoted clearly and accessibly, so that more students feel encouraged to get involved.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope to continue contributing to Law for All as Marketing Officer!

Other than still being a Canva warrior in all the posts I make, I have experience running university society instagrams and RedNotes, hopefully increasing our reach and engagement!
I am also working as a social media intern within a company, so I’m aware of the most efficient strategies to create posts that make us look good to prospective external collaborators and fun for members!!

I’m standing for Marketing Officer because I love finding creative ways to connect with people, and I think the Law for All Society deserves a bigger presence across the student community.

A lot of students miss out on great events simply because they never hear about them. I want to change that by creating marketing that is eye catching, engaging, and genuinely interesting to students. Think short videos, creative posts, and content that makes people stop scrolling and want to get involved.

I already have experience doing this as a Digital Student Ambassador for the Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences, where I create social media content, film short videos, write blogs about student life, and chat with prospective students on the Unibuddy platform to answer questions and help them feel confident about joining UCL. This role has taught me how important clear communication is in building a strong student community.

If elected, my goal is simple. Make Law for All more visible, bring more students to our events, and help build a society that feels open and exciting for everyone.

I’m standing for Marketing Officer because I think the way we present Law for All really matters. The society has such an important mission, and marketing is not just about promotion. It is about making people feel like they belong here.

Through writing regularly for the blog, I have already been involved in thinking about how we communicate ideas clearly and honestly. I would want to build on that by helping shape a strong and consistent voice across our socials and campaigns, one that feels approachable, relatable and genuinely student led.

Law spaces can sometimes feel intimidating or overly polished. I would want our marketing to reflect the reality of our members. We are ambitious, but we are also human. That could mean spotlighting different member experiences, sharing practical opportunities in a clear way, and creating content that people actually want to engage with rather than scroll past.

Most importantly, I would focus on accessibility. Information should be easy to find, deadlines should be clear, and events should reach the people who would benefit most. Law for All is about widening access, and marketing plays a big role in that. I would approach the role with creativity, consistency and genuine enthusiasm for helping the society grow.

As a History and Politics student aspiring to a career in law, I am standing for Marketing Officer because I want to help expand the reach and impact of the Law for All society. Accessibility in the legal profession is something I care deeply about, as I have first-hand experience in the struggle to begin looking for opportunities to pad out my CV and I believe this society is the perfect stepping-stone. I have experience as the vice-president of the women’s cricket club, where I have developed the organisational skills as I regularly schedule practices and deal with office admin, reflecting my desire to work with likeminded people to achieve a common goal. Alongside this, volunteering in climate literacy for children has given me experience presenting complex ideas in an accessible and engaging way, a skill directly transferable to promoting legal events and initiatives to a diverse student audience. This role would allow me the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to widening access to law by improving visibility across platforms. Thank you!
