Latin American Affairs Society: President

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a first year BA History and Politics of the Americas student, who met the current Head of Events for the first time at Phineas and was only remembered by her because I apparently wouldn’t shut up about Venezuela. It’s that kind of over-eager energy I offer to Latin American Affairs!

If elected, I will continue to push for collaborations with similar societies. I am a member of the United Nations Association and Institute of the Americas soc and have ideas for collaborations with both. Due to my degree, I also have access to experts in Latin American history and politics, who may be of interest to deliver talks and roundtables.

I’m really excited by the opportunity build on the work of the previous committee. I genuinely adore discussing and studying Latin America and hope to consolidate this society as a place for those who share my passion!
