One of the most important ways of keeping one's identity as a Christian, especially as an international student in a vastly foreign environment, is being able to meet and share one's faith with other Christians on campus who, despite coming from different backgrounds, share the same language, culture, faith, and value in life. In this respect, YeDarm has been an incredibely supportive community, encouraging me to 'live as children of light' over the past two years of my time at UCL. As is the case for other societies, organising various events throughout the academic year requires not only tracking income and expenditure but also managing bank accounts, membership fees, event budgets, and securing grants. I believe I am well suited to these responsibilites and would be delighted to have the opportunity to serve the society for the next academic year.
