Kazakh Society: Welfare Officer

Hi everyone! I’m Aizhan and I’m running for Welfare Officer of the Kazakh Society.

I’ve really enjoyed being part of the Kazakh Society at UCL over the past 2 years, so I’ve been looking for ways to get more involved with the society as I’m going into third year soon.

Being part of this society is a way for us to stay connected to home and people who share similar experiences. Whether someone is new to UCL, London, or just looking to meet other Central Asian students, having a welcoming environment can make a huge difference.

As Welfare Officer, I would want to help maintain that sense of community by making sure everyone feels included and comfortable :). I would also help to organise more relaxed, low-pressure socials where people can just spend time together, meet fellow members, and feel part of the society.

I would really care about this role and about helping keep the society welcoming and supportive for everyone, so I’d be very grateful for your support. Thank you!
