Islam Idrissov

I am an MEng Engineering and Architectural Design major, and my goal is to build a society with a solid foundation. I’m running as part of Alimkhan’s team because we believe in efficiency, not bureaucracy.
My Blueprint for the Society:
    •    Zero Bureaucracy: I’m here to bridge the gap between the executives and the committee. My goal is to minimize the red tape and ensure communications are as fast as possible. No endless emails—just direct, friendly action.

    •    The "Site Visit" Initiative: Using my background, I want to organize exclusive trips to iconic architectural and engineering landmarks. These aren't just for my major—they are for anyone who wants to see the "behind the scenes" of the world's greatest structures.

    •    Atmosphere Architect: While Alim handles the official high-level events and the data, I am in charge of the vibe. I know how to party, and I will personally ensure that every social event we hold has the best atmosphere on campus.

    •    Seamless Collaboration: I’ll be working closely with Taira (Events) and Ayanat (Charity) to make sure their projects have the structural support they need to succeed without the stress.

Why Vote for Me?
A society is only as strong as its structure. I have the vision to design it, the speed to manage it, and the energy to make sure it’s a place where everyone feels at home.

Malika Adasbayeva

I have been an active member of the UCL KazSoc, consistently attending meetings to contribute ideas, participating in social media projects and events. This reflects my genuine commitment to the society and to strengthening our community. The role of Vice President would allow me to apply my leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills in a meaningful way.

I am currently part of the Kazakh Societies Guild, where we connect all societies across the UK. As part of my role as Society Communication Officer, I:

  • Coordinate communication between societies.
  • Organise bi-weekly Speaker Panel and Kazakh Speaking Club events, securing venues, inviting industry professionals, and hosting sessions.
  • Manage outreach and engagement with speakers and participants across the UK Kazakh student network.
  • Represent KazSocGuild in meetings with the Embassy of Kazakhstan, strengthening communication and external representation skills.

As Vice President, I would support the organisation of flagship events such as CASF alongside other cultural and networking initiatives. I aim to strengthen the society’s presence within the wider UK Kazakh student network by leveraging my connections across London and the UK. Through this, I hope to facilitate joint events, speaker sessions, and networking opportunities that connect members with inspiring Kazakh professionals and alumni. I believe that my dedication, reliability, and passion for empowering Kazakh students make me a strong candidate for this role.
