Antonio Sholin

I am standing for Team Captain because I want to play a key role in strengthening the performance, structure, and culture of UCL Karting Club. As a current member of the A Team with four years of competitive racing experience, I understand the standards, commitment, and teamwork required to compete at a high level. Alongside university competition, I currently race senior Rotax in the RHKC Championship with ADX, and my recent results include 3rd place in SODI Superchamps 2024 (Season 2), 2nd place in DMAX Superchamps 2024 (Season 3), and 3rd place in DMAX Superchamps 2025 (Season 1), as well as multiple wins and podiums in DMAX Superchamps and TNL, and solid results across BUKC and Club100 events.

Through this experience, I have developed strong racecraft, consistency, and the ability to perform under pressure. Being part of the team has shown me how crucial communication, preparation, and a positive environment are to success. I want to support drivers, encourage knowledge sharing, and ensure the team is organised, motivated, and competitive. Although I am committed to racing, I am professionally a designer, and if given the opportunity, I would also use my skills to create custom racewear and suit designs to strengthen the team’s identity.

I am passionate about karting and committed to representing UCL professionally while leading by example. I believe my experience, mindset, and dedication would allow me to contribute positively and help drive the team forward next year.

Kristian Brookes

Motorsport has been a huge part of my life for over a decade. I began karting at six years old and spent 11 years competing in owner-driver championships across the UK, winning multiple titles and national races.

Since then I have progressed into car racing internationally, competing across Europe and around the world in Radical and LMP prototype categories. Through this journey I have also gained experience helping and coaching drivers, particularly around racecraft, and improving pace and consistency on track.

I am standing for Sports Captain because I want to bring that experience into the club and help develop the competitive side of UCL Karting. University karting is an incredible entry point into motorsport, and I would love to support members in improving their driving, building confidence, and achieving success on track.

If elected, I would aim to organise practice sessions where possible, provide guidance on driving technique and race preparation, and support all our drivers competing in events such as BUKC. My goal would be to help develop drivers within the club and push UCL towards the front of the BUKC championship for the first time in our history.

I want to help build a strong, competitive team that represents UCL at the front of the grid while making sure everyone in the club has the opportunity to improve and enjoy the sport.
