Daniel Agur

Hi! I’m Daniel and I’m running to be your Vice President!

This year, I’ve been highly active in JSOC, attending most events and helping in activities like building both the campus sukkah and chanukiah. I’m a committed member of JSOC and understand the values the community holds, which I will maintain and ensure JSOC remains a warm home to all Jewish students.

I’m also a course representative for first year history students, where I represent my peers and maintain communication between the department and students. This role displays my strong leadership, work ethic and dedication I show in every job, and I will uphold these qualities to help the committee run to a high standard that suits your needs.

I’m super approachable and always happy to talk (whether about antisemitism, university, or even just a general chat), which is an important quality for this role.

Below, I’ve listed some aims I hope to achieve, so please read through:

  • Strengthen and expand our community with larger turnouts
  • Maintain a close relationship with JSOC members by updating people on my work and being visible throughout the year so you all feel comfortable approaching me
  • Arrange more events on Jewish education (religious and cultural/historical – as I’m a history student you knew that was coming!)
  • Help B’nei Bloomsbury with advice from a family friend, Mircea Lucescu (3rd most decorated football manager in history)

I really appreciate your time, and I hope I can count on your vote to be your Vice President!
