Jewish Society: Socia Media Officer

Hii I’m Romey,

I came to UCL in September and have kept up with most of the events as this is the only society I attend frequently :) 

I study Hebrew and Jewish Studies, so I appreciate how important proper Jewish community is for every Jew especially in the current climate with the horrific rise in antisemitism.

You should elect me as a social media officer because I’ll bring more Jews to our functions and make more of our J-friends feel included at our Lunch and Learns whatever their backgrounds. 

Additionally, as a terminally online student, I have a huge amount of experience on Instagram and other social media sites so I know how to reach the correct audience.

If you all elect me, I’ll focus on:

• Making our Instagram more interactive and keeping with the fun attitude of my predecessors with polls, Q&As, and amazing photos of our events.
• Building stronger relationships with other JSocs while creating stronger ties between different Jewish communities at UCL.
• Promoting events early so that no Jewish student misses the opportunity to make lore with us. 

Since coming to UCL, I was welcomed instantly at JSoc under the phenomenal leadership of Maya. It was lovely to meet all of you and this community was an amazing support network even when my mental health wasn’t good. This is why I want to give back to the JSoc as a social media officer and help others find the best people at UCL. It would be an excellent use of free will to vote for me.
