UCL Jain society is my family out of home, and I want to bring more to my family.
I see outreach as a responsibility to keep its greatness alive. It should fund what creates value for members, whether in the short term through social events or in the long term through networking events.
I bring experience leading outreach and charity events. I also persuaded my school to start its first STEM society, which trained me to approach partners with clarity and to follow up with purpose.
As an Outreach officer I will
• secure funding that protects affordability
• prioritise partners that offer student opportunities
• build relationships that last through clear delivery and consistent communication
I would love to stand for Outreach Officer for UCL Jain Society because I care deeply about building connections — both within our community and beyond it. Jain values like ahimsa, inclusivity and service have always resonated with me, and I want to help create opportunities for others to experience that sense of belonging and shared purpose. Outreach is about more than promotion; it’s about forming meaningful relationships with other societies, faith groups and charities, and ensuring our events are welcoming, collaborative and impactful. I’m enthusiastic, organised and confident reaching out to new people, whether that’s coordinating joint events, strengthening alumni links, or expanding our presence across UCL. I would aim to increase engagement, encourage interfaith dialogue, and highlight the relevance of Jain principles in everyday student life. Most importantly, I want every member to feel seen, included and proud to be part of our society.
