Over the past two years, the Islamic Society has been central to my university experience, and I am truly grateful for the support and community it has given me. I am eager to give back in a meaningful way.
Serving as FIA Vice Lead this year has deepened my understanding of what it means to support Muslim students on campus. As President, I would focus on strengthening a united, welcoming community where students feel confident practising their faith throughout university and beyond.
My priorities include placing greater emphasis on spiritual growth and sincerity within our community — creating consistent opportunities for remembrance, reflection, and learning that strengthen our connection to Allah. I hope to cultivate an environment that encourages good character, brotherhood and sisterhood, and a shared commitment to living our faith with purpose. Alongside this, I will advocate for improved Jumu’ah facilities, prayer-conscious timetabling, Ramadan support, and faith-sensitive mental health services.
I plan to continue flagship initiatives such as Believe and Do Good Week, Discover Islam Week, and Charity Week, while expanding outreach to the wider UCL community.
