Having had the pleasure of serving as Treasurer of the society this past year has been an incredible experience. I’ve had the opportunity to help manage the society and host many events alongside our amazing committee. Through this role, I’ve gained hands on experience in all aspects of running the society - from finances and budgeting to event planning and organising socials.

Being Treasurer has also allowed me to truly see the potential this society has. As President, I want to build on that foundation and push the society to its full potential - bringing everyone together as a stronger community and hosting even bigger and better events throughout the year.

For me, Iranian Society is more than just events. It’s about community, culture, and connection. I’m passionate about fostering all of these and creating a society where Iranian culture truly thrives. This means celebrating our traditions - from Nowruz to Yalda - while also educating others and welcoming new members who want to learn and be part of our culture.

I know this is a very difficult time with everything going on in Iran, which motivates me even more to strengthen our society and create a safe, supportive space for all members - a true home away from home.

I’ve already been deeply involved this year, and I’m ready to channel my skills, experience, and dedication into leading the society next year.
